'Knights of Mercia'
« on: 25 November 2005, 06:51:10 pm »
Just a minor winge about the guild  :P   Just wondering if anyone else is concerned about where the guild is going game-wise?  More often than not guild chat is practically dead, probably due to everyone concentrating on soloing, so i feel more help should be given helping people getting to 60 and endgame content.  thoughts?

(ps  i'm sure half the peeps in the guild are only in it for a guild name under their own,  but hey that's a personal opinion  :P)

A lil harsh mebbe tim?  :o

Not everyone is as open and talkative as you are maybe? (you chat tart :P)

Currently as I see it, no the guild isnt always that talkative, and yes we do seem to lack purpose, however that isnt necessarily the case.

The aim at the moment is for a few more members to get to 60, however recently one or two key members havent always been available online or have been possibly enjoying a little quiet time.

Also, no major recruitment initiatives have been undertaken for a while, that side of things has kinda stagnated due to peeps getting fingers burnt.....eg Huntra and Mattster  *cough*
so lowbies atm dont have alot of teaming options and seem to slug it out by themselves.

Ill grant you that raids no longer happen on a nightly basis either, but i wonder if,  in part thats due to the length of time end game raids can take (specially running back from the graveyard :D) and so these dont tend to happen possibly as often as some peeps would like. However, hopefully *fingers crossed* the forum will be used and visited by guildies whereby these kind of events can be organised.

On a personal note, if i have the time, im up for most stuff....just shout :P

....or scream :P

Slowly the guild will evolve (theres a few 40s coming up now) and then we can be more sure of enough peeps being available for the higher level stuff.

and anyway......get your ruddy blacksmithing/mining up , lazy arse  ;D

Well...   that was a pretty complete reply  ;D

Since i made the original post it has probably been the best two nights guild-wise for a while  :)  Maybe cos' i've reached 60 already i'm a bit eager to start upgrading my equipment etc. , so maybe it's a little bit of frustation seeping  out on my part.  :P

Anyway, as lyon has said,  need any help and i'm about  give us a shout!  ;D

(ps  as for the mining, do you know how long it takes to find a decent place to mine?  :P)

While I disagree with your observations Timmo, the name thing anyway  ;) , I do appreciate that things aren't like they used to be.  This may give the impression that we lack direction...

The plan is to be able to do all of the end game raids, but we need 3 things for that:

1) More level 60s
2) More Guild members
3) More Priests

At the moment we've been focusing on getting as many to 60 as possible, as quickly as possible.  But since we changed how we recruit people, things have been slowing down.

So if possible, any lvl 60s with some spare time, can help out the guild by following the 3 point plan to purple loot  ;D  as stated above  ;)

Hope this clears things up  :)

Well i've been splitting my increasingly rare free time between CoH (mainly CoV) but of late I've also been playing around with my lvl 10 Ork Warrior.  I know, I know, it's not an Alliance thang....but I like green.

Tell ya what, I'll spend more time on my priest  ;D

Just following on from Naam's post....yeh, do tell!!

oh dear thats me i guess. I shift loot so reguarly mistype caps lock and only notice when i chat. Also only type rubish.

For a guild I think it is great atm. It is really friendly and almost no-one seems to abuse the freely given items.

My feeling is we should only recruit people who we either know in real life, so know are cool people or get people from having grouped with them over several instances and made friends that way.

For me size of guild isn't a big issue as I have no plans to raid mc (it looks prety dull when i've watched friends playing it)
I recon by January we should have enough 60's to almost do a guild exclussive zg raid.

I quite like our guild - everyone is friendly (even when insulting the vertically challenged characters, Zeph...), stuff gets passed around to people who need/want it (and as said above, it doesn't seem to be abused) and if you yell for help, people respond.

It may take a bit, of course,  because even if you are lucky enough to have a mount, sometimes people are a ways off :)

Cuthbert is heading manfully - no, gnomishly - towards 40. I wasn't aware we wanted priests.  At the mo my only other characters are a Troll (couldn't resist his purple mohican) and a night elf priest called Whytepetal - I guess she could guild if needed, but she's pants at the moment :)

Timmo - you want raids and dungeon crawling? Organise it! I'll come along and die for you! Cuthbert's real good at that!

I'm a low level newbie to the guild and it is true the team ups are limited. However I have found the guild extremely useful when I need them. I am not afraid to ask stupid questions and if I'm stuck - one of these higher level characters just come over an hit something for me. I like the guild as it is. I appreciate the level 60's are after something different but surely there's a bit about just having fun at lower level.

One question though, is there a guild equivilant for Horde? I like Horde and I notice there are more than a few players out there.

Hi guys :)

Just to let you know that i love being in our guild.  ;)
Though i do agree about us lower lvls having to slog through quests by going solo, the help is there at the important times-which is what counts.  Though it would be nice for the help to be more often, or even on set nights of the week.......
I also have to say that as far as im concerned, im in the guild for more than the title under my name  ;)
