There are some pretty big changes coming with patch 3.2, and there are a few things which we can start collecting now which will be useful;, or in high demand, when eth patch lands
PvP:
The main things to collect here are WG marks and honour.
As soon as the patch land we will be able to buy a chest piece, a ring and some bracers (itemised for each class) with WG marks- you’ll need 70 in total (40 for the chest, 15 for the ring and 15 for the bracers) these are iLvl 232- equivalent to Ulduar 25 hard mode loot- so snap them up.
WG marks will be much harder to farm come the patch so the more you can get now the better.
Honour can be used to buy the new epic gems (10K honour per Gem ATM) it will also be useful for buying other bits of PvP gear.
PvE
Embalms of heroism- farm them now if you can, for 40 emblems of heroism you can get the new BoA chest piece, which gives you 10% XP boost, this stacks with eth 10% you get from the BoA shoulders too!
Embalms of heroism can also be used to buy the new epic gems, 20 embalms for a “pure” gem (red, yellow, blue) 10 for a mixed gem (orange, green, purple).
Money Making
Aside from getting gems from various places post patch (honour, embalms etc) there are a few items that I thing you would do well to stockpile and sell post patch.
Firstly: titanium ore (not bars), jewel crafters will be able to prospect ore and have a chance of finding epic gems and titanium powder. The titanium powder can be turned in for jewel crafting tokens- every JC will be wanting as much titanium roe as they can get their hooves on.
Next Khorium and primal fire- old world mats sure, but they are needed to make the repair bot 110g, why would anyone want to make an old, expensive repair? Well engineers will be able to make their own robot butler “Jeeves” by upgrading a repai rbot 110G. This new bot will not only buy, sell and repair like normal repair bots, but he will also give engineers access to their bank from anywhere (2 hour cooldown), and every engineer will want one, which means that every engineer will be wanting the mats for the reapirbot 110g.
does anybody else have any ideas?
