Pardon my ignorance, but what are "griefers"?

Griefers is a generic term for people who make other peoples gameplay unenjoyable.

In this case someone has gatecrashed a Hammi raid, a tricky business at the best of times, and managed to spawn the Kronos Titan near enough screw up the combat teams

I got griefed a couple of weeks back. Sent a broadcast to ask if somebody would help me mule stuff for some inf, and they ran off with it. So I petitioned it and while they won't tell you what they do to the perpetrator, they did drop some fairly strong hints that something was done. Didn't help me, they didn't restore my loss.

Given the choice of admitting to being a muppet or a griefer, not sure which one I'd choose. Actually probably depends on whether I'm playing CoH or CoV

But surely you can be a Griefer-Muppet:  Someone who tries to grief, but actually screws up so that their plan backfires and they end up getting themselves pummeled into oblivion.

On the other hand you could have a Muppet-Griefer, which sounds like someone who does disturbing things to glove puppets.....
