Bored at work
« on: 23 May 2007, 12:24:24 pm »
I am so bored at work atm its unbelievable.

I am so awesome that everything is working and nobody needs my help anymore.

all i have been doing the passed week or so is answer mundane questions occasionally and read forums. i have even started to read "Windows server 2003 Network Infrastructure"

Becuase i am the systems admin i cant just sit here and google to death or disable certain web blocks on games website cos i have to set a good example and im not exactly in a nice secluded spot where nooone can see my screen.

What am i supposed to do?

anyway i thought i would take some time out and write this, so that i can waste a but of time

I cant even take lunch yet cos i am babysitting a phone engineer.

You could do a nice Pally guide :)

Once your in Word no one cares to look further as they presume it's an SOP or 'document'
When eyeing a large and dangerous mob...
...A Tanker says, "Stay here while I distract them with my rock hard (granite) body."
...A Brute says, "Stay here while I let them kill me so I can kill them faster!"
...A Scrapper says, "Stay here while I.....ya know what, screw it---CHARGE!11!!1!!11!!1!!

I use my laptop as a second screen.
I always make sure there's a spreadsheet on the big one
I work with numbers - nobody ever asks!!

Anyone know if there's a guide on how to tank as a Voidwalker? My pet really needs to read one...
Why do you chase me Mechanical Yeti?! WHY?!

ok todays diary entry is:

Dear Diary,

today i have had 3 cups of coffee, collapsed some cardboard boxes and thrown them away.

i have setup a wireless connection on a laptop (took 5 mins), reimaged a laptop and spent the last 2hrs trying to reimage another laptop.

it is 28 Degrees Celsius in the office and i have confiscated a desk fan for my  own personal use (it has not been safety tested therefore the offending employee is not aloud to use it unless you are me ofc)

soon it is lunch time and i get to eat some left over burgers and sausages from last weeks bbq, YAY!!!!

and just this second a sales woman just called me to say that i didnt tell them that the laptop i just released didnt have a parrallel port on it!!!
I then pointed out that the document that goes with the hardware doesnt say anywhere on it that the laptop has a parrallel port and that she shouldnt have sold a parrallel port printer to the customer ( why we still even use the lpt ports is for another day - long Rant/story)

and so ends my entry, im sure none of you want to here about my day,

Tough

I need something to do

:)

Tune in next time for : Hercule Boring day

Minor revision required IMHO...  ::)

guide start -----
Put pet on passive
Target Enemy
Press CTRL 1
Wait until pet has hit target couple of times
Fire off at least a shot or two for looting/skinning purposes
Rinse and repeat

Guide End -----
What goes up must come down. Ask any system administrator.

Where's the fun in Hurc becoming a good tank. part of the experience is playing "watch dwarfie fly" or in my case "watch dwarfie fly --- feign death"
