Looks like I'm not going to be on till Monday night :(

What started as a possible network fault has turned out to be my cable box going titsup at a rather poorly coincidental moment.

K- didn't get the engineer last night, apparently they've had a run of illness (damn them and their reasonable excuses >:() and couldn't get cover. ETA is now Friday *twitch* *twitch*

KK Naam and Piglet are out this week and next week is Chrimbo so can I suggest a break for christmas?

Start again 2nd January with the sis psyche TF?

Am I missing something ? Next week didn't appear to be Christmas on my planet (Tuesday's boxing day the following week). Suggest we do Psyche on heroic tonight and try to chainsaw it in 3 hours (or a tad more if it takes it) as Naam says go ahead and start.

Ah well, you see, it is, or rather was, a closely guarded secret that Swifty is from another planet, one where Christmas does indeed come early (and you thought that was just an expression didn't you??)..... We're not exactly which planet Swifty came from, he just sort of arrived one day in a egg.... Luckily he's got over that Nanu Nanu rubbish... That was annoying....  ;D

Admittedly that wasn't what I meant to fire the expando-ray gun at, and I'm all out of charges, so I guess I'll just hafta go on earning my money in the computer trade rather than the adult entertainment industry ;D ;D

Well the connection came back up late yesterday evening and yay there was much cussing at tech support, the box had totally reset and needed the code they sent 5 years ago :P.

Still all seems to be up and working now but prolly won't be on much till the weekend :(
Piglets' new AW laptop turned up so making sure that's set up OK and have a ton of E-mails to wade through <Insert Spam song>

Should be good for Saturday though :) Is there anything special that needs to be done for the Winter event? (Badges, one time powers etc..)

Guide to winter event:

Get mission from father time, accessed via the grotto upstairs at pocket D. Explo badge on the floating truck outside of mish.

Badges available:

One for logging in and 2 temp powers.

Kill 100 winter horde, 333 redcaps, 333 tuatha, 5 snaptooth - same as hero existing badges, some give gladiators too.

The mission has 4 badges you can choose as completion reward so need to do it 4 times to get all, 2 of these give temp powers, others costume bits.

To do mish, go in and look for the mob with the Winter Guard snowman in it. Kill whole mob to get key.
Go into cave, rescue the ugliest baby in the world and lead it out ftw.

Other badges will be available from 18th in second phase of event.

If the quality of Piglet's spam is like what I used to get, then she'll be deleting most of it or forwarding it to you.  ;)

Must try and do a bit more on this year's Winter event (think I need to do a bit of catching up) -- hopefully couple of PC tweaks/upgrades this week will have settled my PC down (was starting to get painful doing anything CoX of late, and defragging only helped a little)... If not it's a careful "collect together all drivers and vital stuff" and blat the system back to the stone ages... It's been a while and probably needs doing anyway, but I'm always reluctant, because I always forget something... And it involves effort, and I hate watching progress bars.......

Meh - Whnever I have to do that I just get a nice,new, fat  HDD. That way I can install anew on that without having to back up or have the "Arrrrrggghhh" I forgot something!! moment 2 minutes after you've clicked the "Yes, I'm sure" button. If the inside of the case is look ing crowded then the smallest drive in the system get's relegated to the external caddy :)
