Possibility for weekly fun, FH style

Hehe great ideas for cossies there. I especially love the 'Thongbow' one I rolled out a quick ill/ff troller last night. Seems good so far.

My personal preference is 'bots\armour  , Uniforms (military or otherwise) or a cohesive colour scheme...

I've seen the "speedo" tights and a group of eight would probably leave me with nightmares :p, the '70s funk look should have been taken out, shot and buried in a deep dark hole somewhere....sometime about 1973\74

I could see a Victorian thing although for completeness we'd all need a random bind generator for 'English' phrases , "What ho!", "Bagged the blighter", "Tiffin old chap?", "God save the Queen" etc....

Ooooooh!  I like the idea of a victorian theme with English RP.....they do bowler hats in the cossies as well don't they?  Could work very well.  Tweed.  Prythos and I were talking about something similar the other night.

Have people seen the Electric Six "Gay bar" video ? Was thinking of doing an Abe Lincoln, but probably with trousers rather than the posing pouch Dick Valentine was wearing.

Nah - it's something we can do, we just need a bunch of phrases we can put in a text file, a bit of jiggery pokery (and I'm lookin at you here Bryan ) and we just press a key Voila! Random phrase.

Was thinking about it further and the victorian theme could get a bit restrictive with regards to the cossies.

Not sure about changing the theme. I would prob pick a name to go with the theme and then that  would be annoying having one that might not fit.

couple of other ideas - Highway men (think adam and the ants, stand a deliver), Robin hood and his merry mutated men, ancient culture (roman / eqyptian / celtic / norse)

will have a few more tonight.

Well whilst it can be restrictive when you're creating the costume it really does look awesome when there's 8 of you who match, even the standard Tight top and bottom, this pattern and these colours. Individually it's not that exciting but a full team of you is incredibly striking

The other thing that's quite fun is to each have a letter on our chests as the emblem that spells out something when we stand in the right order. Reminds me of two friends who had T-shirts printed with BOLL on one and OCKS on the other.

Having identical costumes while it looks good, can make identification at a glance difficult (although the team that looked like a phantom army was funny). As another possible suggestion, we could go for costumes identical in all but colour. That can also look quite amusing.

Don't get me wrong, I like the idea. but I think it may be too restrictive. Lots of top hats, bowler hats and suits. Not much else really. Females would be hard because there is no bell dress that covers everything.

I agree with this. Many SG's have come up with a cossie of tights with a set pattern and colors but still allow things like the head details to be chosen. It can look great if a decent cossie is picked. It would also allow people to still create a hero with it's own reason for its powers and history. But have something like. 'A year ago <the boss> created the group to fight evil and so <insert hero here> joined the group'. I like this Idea the most as I tend to really enjoy having a history behind any toon I play. I like to feel like the toon has a reason for being. I am an RP'er who cant be bothered to act basically.

Maybe we should think about this theme some more? I will play with the editor and come up with some cossie ideas to see if this could work. This is just the trail of thought I am on. If you want something else just say.

KK I just spent a while trying to come up with a new cossie for Sowelu (my old Fire/Kin I am gonna re-make).

They are all the tights with a pattern theme. Simply because  this can be adapted to fit any origin. I use block colour and bold patterns to maximise effect. You may notice that most of them have the same shoulders, belt, etc. This is cos I stopped caring after a while. They all have Sowelu's head and reaper mask thing. Please note these is not a required part of any cossie. Same goes for the chest detail. I just used the FH one.


And kind of came up with 6. I still have more ideas but it is now gone 1AM and I have to be up for work at 0430.

So gonna call it a night for now.

I like the Red\Cream colours the best.

Other runners were the Blue\Yellow and Red\Blue but imaging a team full of them made my eyes water, the contrast between the colours was a little strong
