PC explosions

My PC fused twice earlier today. Here is what I know is accurate, My PSU is gone... thats about it. There was definitely two showers of sparks during which my pc ceased to be and I narrowly avoided death twice.

Ewwww
I'd see if I could get hold of a socket tester, check it's not the wall socket first.
Any ideas what you're going to get to replace it? I've never had problems with HiperPower or if you want a little cheaper then XClio, they're made buy the same manufacturer using all the same parts as Antecs

I did have an Enermax which has been great for me. I have used them in my last two builds. I will either get another Enermax or a Tagan, but first I am gonna nick a spare PSU from Cart and see if it is just the PSU thats gone kapow.

I feel for you mate, and everyone else recently mentioning PC problems... At the moment I too don't have a PC capable of running anything more intensive than minesweeper
Only have a mini-ITX based system which sole job is a "controller" for some music gear...

PC now back up and running and now in SLI
with my 2x 8800GTX. My one bone of contention is that if I install the 2nd 2GB RAM stick it wont boot meaning I have only 2GB still (albeit much faster RAM)

Assuming it's a pair try it in the other paired slots as well - may be a mobo issue rather than the RAM.
If it's the RAM and if you've got Corsair then run through the forms here
http://www.corsairmemory.com/helpdesk/default.aspx
and they'll probably replace it for you - pretty quickly in my experience
(Got to love those lifetime warranties), check with other manufacturers for their support details.
