Title: WoW is dead. Long live CoH / CoV
Post by: judgejoolz on 9 June 2009, 11:18:09 pm
Well, since Blizzard has singularly failed to rectify the issue concerning my missing characters I have been left with no alternative and have now cancelled my account, which is rather sad since I was totally enjoying my time on WoW.  Still, since every cloud has a silver lining, this means I can turn my attention once more to CoH / CoV.

Would rather channel my hard earned money through a game with proper support, a thorough (if rather scary) fan base who love and clearly help craft the future of the game.

So, judgejoolz has returned once more and without the distraction of 'other' games, save for the game called Family Life.

See you fellas on line!!

Well not all of us.

I'm still happily playing CoH, but haven't really touched my Infinity toons in ages. Doctor Ram occasionally ventures over there, Pry is usually seen on Victory or Triumph.

CoH is in a bit of a fallow period unless you fancy writing your own missions through the architect. I15 (in beta atm) doesn't have much other than the new 45-50 TF, but going rogue is on the horizon, and I suspect some people will come back for that.

Oh smeg.   ::)   Well maybe I'll withhold my subscription until later.  Shame about WoW; I'm still waiting to hear from Blizzard.   >:(

A further twist in the ongoing saga of "where are my characters".  Blizzard, bless'em, have taken it upon themselves to terminate my account!  Oh, and they still haven't responded to my original email.  Now I could send them a further email asking what's to do, but, well, I really can't be arsed.  So it's good night to WoW until I relent (most likely after I hear you all yak on about the game next weekend  ;D) and buy another copy complete with the expansion packs and set up another account.  In saying that can I really trust Blizzard again?  What if they screw up, again, and I lose everything?  Their customer service sucks.

No reason given.  It sort of follows a common theme of zero communication.

I find calling them really helps.

They are quite helpful
