Title: Winter Event 2009

Reading the official post for the forthcoming Winter Event it doesn't look as though there is anything particularly compelling about this year's 'do'.  Or am I missing something stellar?

A new travel enhancement set with cold resist, purchased with candy canes

A new ski slope with three more badges

And some auras IIRC

But don't the auras and travel powers only extend to the life of the Winter Event?  This would just leave 3 additional badges, one for each new slope. 

As in previous events throughout the year I'll probably take this opportunity to gain the same (plus new) badges for one or two mid-ranging characters; those that I would like to progress to level 50.

I have to say the winter events interest me about as much as a slap in the face by a wet smelly haddock, coupled with a kick in the jewels by a 14st chavette.
