Title: SG Teaming, The Next Step
Post by: fredbobjimmy on 16 June 2008, 11:05:12 pm
Ill let Naam sort out a poll for the options we have,  and which people prefer. May i suggest the following Options:-

* Tuesday Night
* Wednesday Night
* Once a Month Teaming On a W/E
* Both a Team on Tuesday and Wednesday (One Hero, One Villains)
* Couldn't Give a Flying Monkey

Personally i like the idea of doth both a hero and a vill theme night, but if we only get enough people to do one, then i couldn't give a flying monkey which :)

The "Two smaller teams" options doesn't need to be Heros and villians, there's nothing wrong with 2 Villian teams :)

My vote was for the split teams and I've taken the liberty of proxy voting for Brodski (Tuesdays) as he's in Las VEgas for a couple of weeks

Edit - forgot, could people do a quick post as well please. Helps me keep track :)

I prefer the idea of 2 smaller teams. I means less chance of telling people they cannot join due to size.

Hiya

I am afraid I am not going to be around  Tuesday nights come mid-september.  Wednesdays would be good or something at the weekend - though I apologize in advance as I might be a bit erratic ;)  (I will rephrase that a bit more erratic that usual lol)

Cheers

I hadn't thought about doing 2 teams on different days but on the same side. Means that if we have drop outs or people who cant make a Tuesday but can do a Wednesday instead can use their normal SG toon. Heroes on Infin or vills on prot? I'd prefer the later, leccy/storm planned if i dont get teamed with min, sonic/kin if i do.

Post by: Naaman on 28 June 2008, 03:25:01 pm
OK, locking the poll now as split between two nights seems the best way and I can't see any problems with running two villain nights.

Now I need people to post here for availability; either Tuesday, Wednesday or Both and if you have an idea of what you want to play please add that as well.

Restrictions are - 1 MM per team and no Stormies on Mins group.

I'll get the ball rolling with Tuesday and probably a Widow

I dont get back from work on a wed until 8ish so will be up for tues. Prob will do a Crab.

If there is room on a wed when I arrive I am happy to fill any spots with a dom or brute.

i should be able to do both (if my pc starts to work) and i have a few toons i want to play, top of my list though is a sonic/kin corr, a (leccy/fire/ice)/stormy cor or a grav/? dom

Another thing, looking tentatively at starting in the next couple of weeks (assuming Jimmys' PC is up a nd running satisfactorily).
Anyone have problems with Tues 15th and Wed 16th?

Sign me up for the Weds group. Not sure what with, possibly a MM as I think it's the only way I'm going to get one to 50.

Is it absolutely decided which server we're using ? There is actually no reason why the groups need to be on the same one unless the plan is to gather for TFs at weekends occasionally.

Was thinking either Protector or Triumph, where you guys run your alt villians on
Title: Re: SG Teaming, The Next Step
Post by: Swifty on 30 June 2008, 06:16:18 pm

I have no pref as to sever. I have been running villians on Liberty to play with mates there and because Protector is like a ghost town for teaming.

But with SG teams it wouldn't matter too much

How is it that it says only seven people voted but there is 8 votes? The poll was Fixed!!!  :o

P.S PC still waiting on a new graphics card, but it does make a good cooler and a bed side light :)

Wednesday night works much better for me so count me in. As for AT either a Corruptor of some kind, dark/therm or fire/dark or maybe a crab or widow.

K - so far we have

Tuesday - Brodski, Mark, Naaman, Swifty, Jimmy, IceWild (Moto Doc), Skarlet and new guy (he's activating his trial this Sunday, gives him a chance to play a bit and get two sessions with us in)

Wednesday - Min, Bio Boy, Prythos, Rocking Rock (Dino Barney), Jimmy, Dr Ram and IceWild (Moto Doc)

I've got one more here at work who used to play on the Euro servers and is being tempted to give it another go.

Can we have polls/final decision on server so I can create the toon.

I'll prob start with a MM and if I get bored will switch to something else.

I don't think it makes too much difference what server, *coin toss* Triumph (if everyone has spare slots).

What are the SG colours over there? We can do reverse colours for the two nights

Gold and purple, to be precise:

Gold (primary) = Column 5 row 4
Purple (secondary) = Column 2 row 13

No I presume Naam meant Tuesday nights have the reverse of the normal SG colours. ie Primary Purple, Secondary Gold.
Wednesday night has the normal SG colours, Gold primary Purple Secondary.

Do we have a theme or just the set colours?

kk. Triumph. Going for a soldier so I dont have a lot of coice in cossies.

Started date. Is tues 15th good for all?

Well I am on the Wednesday team most likely so start date will be 16th for us. Perhaps we should run a team at the weekend to get the annoying early stuff out the way and get a travel power etc?

Have my choice of toons down to two:

Silent Fright - Widow

Jack Danielz - Fire/Ice Corruptor.

Will most likely be the Corruptor I think.

I'm unlikely to be on much over the weekend, wedding on Sat, family party on Sun. You might see me for a couple of hours each evening.

Shouldn't take too long, run missions till L5 then hit the Mayhem mission :)

If no one expresses a preference I'm going to go with Burke as starting contact but could everyone could do the tutorial and meet in Port Oakes :)

I must admit I haven't done any missions to get to level 5 for ages villain side, I normally just street hunt in mercy, but you still want the same start contact so you can share the cape mish.

Can I put together a roster post for Wednesday as a  list of what people are playing, I'll try to update this when people post what they're going to play:

Mino - AR/dark corruptor
Pry - fire/cold corruptor
BB - Dom Plant/ice ?
RR - SS/invul brute
Jimmy - Dom of some description ?
Icewild - Dom of some description
Doctor Ram - fire/dark corruptor

And a reminder, no stormies as they make me ill.

The rumours are indeed correct - if there's still room on the Wednesday, I'll be rolling up a Fire/Dark Corruptor tonight   :)

Would I be right in thinking this will run from about 7pm to 10pm?

Doing Tuesdays, and have decided on a Brute, "The RenFair Freak".

I meant everyone creates their characters, run Breakout and pick Burke as starting contact then leave the character alone :)

Ram - yep, them's the right times

Couple of quick ground rules before we start....

If you can't make it please post as soon as you can. Ideally we should know who can't make it on Sunday Evening. The thread for it is here --> http://forum.forlorn-hope.org/index.php?topic=712.new#new

If something unexpected comes up and you can't make it and can't post (I think it's only Swifty and Pry who can't post from work) please call or text someone who can (numbers here - http://forum.forlorn-hope.org/index.php?topic=143.0, if you can't see that link please shout)

If, for whatever reason, you decide "it's not doing it for you" then please tell us, we won't take the piss (too much  :D). We'd rather know that you don't want to do it than have you mysteriously fade away into hiding for 6 months

OK just to confirm - Fire/Dark Corruptor 'Twilight's Burning' rolled and waiting for the off by Burke. Is now in the SG. Will be there Wednesday by 7pm.

Don't anticipate any problems in making this time regularly as new job is a bit more flexible in that respect  :)

Some help appreciated on suggested build etc. - as you know, my redside exeperience is very limited.

By the same token I'm also skint (hint, hint..)

My character is called Misfit Mandy
She, from what I can tell, (Newbie alert!) drops radiation, shreiks and heals people.

I have no idea how to join up so please take pity on me. She's on the right server (villain) in Purple and Gold so she's good to go.

Well possibly except Barney who kept disconnecting/crashing.

Btw Barney - do you have to verify files when you disconnect, if so, there is a way round that which I can explain if needed.

Rough plan of what I intend us to do next (I do play requests)

Cap last NP mish and KR mayhem - somebody to not take mayhem at this stage and wait till 16 before doing so
Shelley Percey arc
Depending on level, possibly origin of powers to get to 15
Marshall Brass arcs (Ouro portal) and rocket pack mish
The person that didn't take the KR mayhem takes the Skyway one and we do it (avoids another set of papers)
Cap SF

We now have a mission computer in the Triumph base (once I remembered it was under the Raid tab not Control aux). It's the arcane version which looks nothing like a computer btw and is in the control room.

To celebrate this, I intend the Wednesday group to do the Silver Mantis SF this week, which requires Barney to get to at least 20.
