Our general crowd of people from various games (mainly CoH) have dissapeared from the ranks of wow completely, figured i'd check up on how every one is and if everyone is still playing?
We're in dire need of healers if anyone feels like leveling a healer, we're only about 5 short :D
Cheers everyone

Sorry :(
Catching up on all the new goodies introduced in CoH since January. My main reason for playing WoW was to get away from Heroes for a bit - which happened admirably.
I'll probably see-saw a bit then settle down to a nice pattern to play both games ;)
Oh, and I don't do support classes very well - I'm too impatient (http://boards.cityofheroes.com/showflat.php?Cat=0&Number=2592812&page=0&fpart=1&vc=1)
BTW - what're your opinions of CoH? You gave it a quick go...

pretty much the same as naam, played WoW because my lappy in it's death throws couldn't handle the graphics.
At the mo there is a lot of new stuff I wanna try out so will be mainly playing city over the next few weeks.
After the shine has worn off I will prob spen a few weeks to lvl up Kiam (Healer ;D ) and then will flit inbetween.
But I have to admit. City of X is my first love

Well I only played CoH for a few days, I really chose a bad time for me to take my 10 free days really. Now I know i'm told constantly not to compare CoH and WoW but I find them to be complete opposites in that with CoH, the whole challenge appears to be getting to the top level and for someone like myself who get to top level reasonably quick and likes to make one really powerful character before concentrating on alts, this game does not really suit since the idea seems to be get a char to 50....then get another to 50 :D
WoW is all about getting to that top level and then grouping with people and you can really increase the power of your character quite significantly by doing so, and I think that suits my style of gaming somewhat more than one big grind. It's personal opinion and I did enjoy CoH whilst I played it, but in comparison to end level stuff WoW wise it's not even on the marker for me.

Well it'd be boring if we where all the same :)
For me it's that circular grind at the top of WoW that I can't comprehend.
As for playing character after character it's made much easier in CoH - 185 different combinations of Primary and secondary powersets, all of which play differently + 2 unlockable archetypes. Similar numbers for City of Villians as well.

I like them both but they are very very different. I absolutely love the character creation part of COH and have spent many hours making my characters pretty. The level of detail in WoW seems far higher than CoH and CoH is definately more grinding.
I'd love to have our WoW people play CoH now and again though, it does feel diiferent from WoW. It would be a nice break just to have Zel, Neo myself etc on TS trying (probably poorly) to be a bunch of superheroes.
I mean - can you imagine the design concepts these people would come up with!!
For WoW people it would be very therapeautic. We can be silly, everything is very spectacular and glamorous and the fights are soooo easy (oooh did I type that out loud!!). None of this balancing party rubbish - you can even run away now how easy is that!!
You can fly and teleport and shoot fire out you hands yaaaaaayyyyy - I'm in......

I wouldn't mind picking up a little casual CoH/CoV. I've played around with it a couple of times, but haven't really played in a group.
