Title: Enojying TBC
Post by: Magorian on 29 January 2007, 04:32:13 pm
Ok guys post here telling me how you are enjoying the burning crusade so far. For my part, my comp has been broke so I haven't had a lot of time on it but I am trying to play despite it being broke
In terms of content there are so many quests it's silly and you can easily waste a day just questing in a single area.
The thing I truly like is the new 5 man dungeons, it was a stroke of genius for Blizzard to make some new 5 mans they are fun and it's easy to get a group with just people you know. My only concern so far is the continous grinding o get to 70 which looks like it will take forever
  Ah well

I am really enjoying TBC, what I like is the newness of it all. I went thru the portal at lvl 59 which is about the best time.

The downside for me is that I think the power equipment comes far too early. Jarlene has easily better stuff than players who have played their characters for five times longer pre-TBC.  The likes of Strat and Schol have been made almost completely redundant. I went into East P'lands recently and never saw another player. I personally would have liked the rewards to come harder and a little more defference shown to those who'd played their butts off b4. The Diablo expansion was managed this way. I really have no reason to leave this continent now which is a shame.

On the plus side the new areas (incl starting areas) are beautifully crafted and well thought out. Everything is inter-related and the starting area for Drei has a story which permeates most of the quests. The artwork is fantastic (as usual) and the technology has (mostly) held up.

Overall I like it and I feel it is especially suiting the guild which is really coming to life in all of this.
