Title: Knights of Mercia - High level Characters dropping out
Post by: Twylyte on 16 August 2006, 09:33:04 am
I've noticed whilst on line 3 lvl 60 characters have dropped from the guiild. I also heard last night Gurge has now done the same.

Are these high level characters still planning to help out or are they all off raiding with another guild now. I know Gurge will help out cos he allways does..

What about the others? Should we be adding you to our freinds list and if so .. who has now gone?

Wispy , Jilanea and me joined a raid guild, I have alts in Knights though (Lix, Shias, Elethiomel) and Jil has too (Thanden, Teorilo)
Wispy isn't playing quite as much but if you add him to friends I expect he'll be happy to help out with stuff if he's not off in Molten Core or whatever.

Will people be start coming back if we get more Chars upto Lvl 60 and in a Raiding mood.

As i asume you all moved because there arent really enough 60s online at the same time to be able to create a raid party.

I know Night and I will be looking forward to MC when we finally get to 60.

I think for some raids its 40 plus people (is that right?) - a big ask for even our Guild.
I wonder if guilds could comnbine raids.
Glad to hear it's only 3 - we don't want a "brawn drain"

I'll add them to freinds so we don't lose them.

Currently the top gear is in the 40-man instances, they are not really hard, just time consuming and need a huge community to be able to organize 40 people and the right classes.

Zul'Gurub ,a 20-man instance, actually has also some awesome gear after the recent upgrades, its not too hard and waaaaay more fun than Molten core or Blackwing Lair.At least Blizzard has adressed the problem lately of many guilds disappearing or disbanding due not being able to do the level 60 content (Dead end for those people in the game). And promised only to add 5-man, 10-man, and 25-man instances once the add-on comes out,no more 40-man dungeons (yay!), and the 10-man instance gear will be equal with MC/BWL loot quality.

Since Magorian took Knights of Mercia over and wants to try to move the guild forward to be able to do 20-man instances I think he'll also be able to  prepare the guild for the new 10 and 25-man content when the add on hits, since he still has a few months to do that,he'll need all of us to be available and be willing to help,it might be difficult at the beginning but once KoM starts being successful in raiding the guild will gain a good reputation and people will be willing to join us which will make it easier to expand the guild.

Thats my intention Xar i've already began recruiting and i'd like to get as many guildies as possible actively looking for new members to push the guild forward.

Hi Magorian. Sorry I am a little unsure of how the guild works but this stuff sounds exciting. My personal situation is that I have one high level character in Gortak (Preist) and a bunch of mid-range characters (lvls 21-36) all on Shadowsong.  For me it's usually at the 20 - 40 level where numbers can be thin on the ground (I don't know if that's everyones experience). Ordinarilly somebody at higher level helps me out.

Anything that encourages a wider array of characters I support.

One question - what's the recruitment process if I see a player I like?

Gortak's lvl 53 - is there a process (or something) where if someone has been in the guild for (for example) six months or 40+ lvls that they can recruit without reference to other players? - and can their alts recruit so we can target lower levels?

I am not just asking for just Gortak - I have been running with Hercule, Nightingale, Skarlet et al for while now and to my mind if we want to increase our numbers why don't we increase our recruiters?

Ok for recruitment, though it's important to not pick rashly, at the momment i'm just looking for active character's. I can obviously see the problem with this in that in the long run I may be making more work for myself but based on the active players thread there are only 3 active players in the guild :D
So i'll say it now if you feel someone you group with has talent and no one in officer chat has any objections get them, we'll worry about who we have later

I don't know the mechanics but presumably people need to be a certain rank before they can recruit. I always deferred them to Gurge for example?

If that is the case who are these characters?

Anyone with the rank "Knight" or higher (Champion,Guild Master and Alt. rank) have the option to recruit, you should see peoples rank in the guild window,so its easy to tell who can recruit.

Looking at the definitions I've probably got a three characters who'll earn their assorted stripes at some point.  But Gortak should have a special title that's only given to flower picking Preists who wear pink.

lol - what about " Knight - Panzy "

or just " Pink Knight "

Or even better you could be the guild Gardner, to go with Treasurer and armorer.

Hello hello  ;D

How is everyone doing around here? Some might remember me, others won't (I'm the paladin obsessed with paladins and chocolate rubbing  ::) ).
I kind of said I would be back after my exams, somewhere in July... but my holiday job and the fact that I was a crewmember at a festival kind of made that impossible. After that, I started playing silkroad online (free mmorpg, asian style, lovely game if you like that type of atmosphere), and that way I kind of lost interest in WoW... I know I'd be back into it the moment I'd buy a new gamecard, but as a new year at university is about to start, I'd rather stay away from it for a while... as I don't want to get addicted again  ;)
Might come back when the expansion hits the shelves, but I'll see that when the moment arrives.
Anyway, just wanted to say hi to everyone... and perhaps till one day in WoW  :D
