Title: Getting Pwn'd
Post by: Bio Boy on 28 September 2007, 10:21:46 pm
Hey all,

I have hit a bit of a wall with BB with him spending a lot of the time in the hospital!

Basically I respec'd him a little while back taking out spin and stealth and putting in shockwave and acrobatics.

Up til that point he seemed to run quite well (hindsight is a wonderful thing lol)

I run him in combat with invincibility, combat jumping, acrobatics unyeilding and temp invun on (which I probably shouldn't do) but he still gets his arse kicked - I kid you not doing one of the Drummer Sargent quests he died 10 times tonight) . I have also been playing about putting some of the IO sets in whihc I have no doubt is making things worse!

I was running him on Unyeielding at the time - before I changed him over that wouldn't have caused me any issues but now I don't seem to be able to go above rugged without significant floor time (great in a team with vengence I suspect lol)

He uses a lot of endurance (dont have super jump or sprint on), which could I guess be due to the fact that I have slotted the attacks for reduced recharge.

Any advice gratefully recieved!

I have attached his profile below - Not that the IO sets are set as 39 however they are actually 42 in the game he is currently level 40.

Cheers

First thought - acrobatics does nothing for you unless you're getting held or knocked back, unyielding should deal with that.

Second thought - 2 to hits in invincibility and 2 accs in your attacks is probably overkill, try putting an end reduction in for one of the accs (or the recharges in the low level attacks).

Third thought - you don't have follow up, this is a 35% damage buff to all your subsequent attacks and is the key claws attack. Take it instead of slash. It will turn strike into slash damage wise, and make your higher level attacks more potent. You want this to hit often so 2 acc, 2 dam, 2 rech is not silly.

Fourth thought - shockwave/invincibility don't really mix, take spin instead.

Fifth thought - slots in combat jumping are worth like 0.7% def, better used elsewhere, like putting recharges in dull pain.

Will have a closer look later, I need to go out.

Steve

Thanks Steve,

Come to think of it I used to have follow up in there too which would explain a lot of things..... Aslo used to have dull pain slotted for recharge too

Gradually getting to hate schockwave on BB too lol

Sometimes it's better to leave well alone I guess!
