Next weekend (21st -23rd) Villians and Heroes will be awarded double XP (http://www.mmorpg.com/gamelist.cfm?loadNews=5742&bhcp=1).
Couldn't find an official Redname announcement though so take with a pinch of salt, but it was turned on for Test yesterday and today (Here (http://boards.cityofheroes.com/showflat.php?Cat=&Number=5997138&page=&view=&sb=5&o=&fpart=1&vc=1))
Most likely scenario that I saw was that is was in way of an apology for the frelled Global channels.
In other news, as is typical, I'll be up in Birmingham for most of next weekend >:(

Cuppa subsequently confirmed this, I've got a family party to go to on Saturday, but not sure what will happen as there's a train strike due then.
