Guys, found the above link. It's free to use for non-commercial stuff, so should work for us. The closest we'll get to replicating the infamous LAN parties in Redhill...but without the beer, pizza and Swifty's snoring. ;D

Nice - I'll download it tonight and see what it's like :)
EDIT: Hmmmm, the problem is still the server with these programs and they either cost money or someones bandwidth:(
The link on the download page you linked to is for "testing" only, I imagine they'd get a bit shirty if we tried to use it for a game.

Have any of you ever heard of Skype?

EWW....
<sarcastic>
Why the hell would I wanna actually talk to you lot?
<sarcastic>
:P
My subscription should be reactivated next month with a bit of luck
this one has cropped up at times in the larger raids in Wow. Unfortunately having a small child really hampers using stuff like this. At 2am when your coming to a final boss and planning a wipe :P its not really gonna be feasable for me to even talk, therefore pointless for me to even bother :(
Besides which in Wow trying to get danish, german, dutch, southernors and the french for example to understand my "divvint knaa" geordie carthiefspeak would be an absolute nightmare :P

It is now possible for up to 5 people to conference call with Skype! Starting a conference call is simple and there are several ways to do it. If you want to dial several people all at once and start a conference call with them, you first need to select p
(Here (http://support.skype.com/index.php?_a=knowledgebase&_j=questiondetails&_i=92))
There's also the fact that Skype stresses voice quality over bandwidth, a game orientated program that does voice chat accepts that quality isn't as good but won't have as much impact on playing quality

I think my only problem with this will be to find a decent male-to-female voice converter...

K - I've managed to blag some server space and about 1meg up and down through a corporate line :)
This means we can use it during UK Off-peak hours and because it's free we can't take the piss.
I'm going to try and get it set up for next weekend (Easter) for us to trial it - I'll post more info as I get it
-
Woot !! :D :D :D It's up and running
If you're interested in joining in the fun could you PM me, including a password and I'll set up accounts based your Global handles. The connection details are in the Members Only section, here (http://forum.forlorn-hope.org/index.php?topic=272.new#new).

The easiest thing ingame is to /w Keyana/Asepia as it is his TS server.
If he´s not around just /w me or Stubby/Drebnor
Happy New Year

Think I have finially got TS working for WoW. Did we ever set one up for City?
-
We did but due to lack of use it got revoked :(
(Was run by a friend off his work servers but if it wasn't being used it was a security hole)
