New Forums
« on: 7 February 2005, 07:27:55 pm »
Yes, it's true, we now have forums. I've been thinking about this for a while, but I'm finally "taking the plunge" and doing it.

I've not got much to say right now, but as per guild etiquette (if that's how you spell it) the important thing is to play nice.

More news and proper announcements soon... Probably... Maybe...

Themes
« Reply #1 on: 8 February 2005, 12:25:44 am »
I've picked out a theme called Helios which I think is quite fitting. I noticed there were some alternative colour scheme images (not full themes) so I decided to put a bit of work in, making five extra copies of the Theme, putting in the modified images, and then effectively uploading the same theme six times to the web server. I now know I hate uploading themes because of the number of files for each...  :o

If you want to change the theme you see, go to your profile, select "Look and Feel Preferences" from the menu at the left, and click on (change) next to where it says current theme. Unfortunately the preview for Helios is the same for each colour scheme.  :(

For now I'm setting the default to Helios Silver.

Avatars
« Reply #2 on: 9 February 2005, 05:29:04 pm »
I've altered the forum config to allow uploading avatars to the forum site itself. Current (default) settings have a 65x65 pixel restriction which if you go over this it will resize the image. So says the config page...

I also just discovered a set of avatar images which I've shrunk a little to fit so there are now THREE classes of standard avatars. I like these ones  ;D
